Javier Villalobos is a multicultural entrepreneur and marketing consultant, born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico. Mr. Villalobos is the President and co-founder of Sports Marketing Monterrey, an INC 5000 company, one of the fastest growing private companies in the United States.
In 2004, Mr. Villalobos co-founded Sports Marketing Monterrey along with his brother. The company was founded to help brands and professional teams reach consumers in the sports industry and to represent elite athletes globally. The office in the United States focuses on aiding companies to connect with the Hispanic market in meaningful ways.
At the age of 23, he identified and represented two Olympic athletes from Mexico, one became the next Olympic gold medalist in Beijing 2008 and the other became a bronze medalist in London 2012. Both athletes were part of marketing campaigns for clients Powerade and Johnson & Johnson during the Olympic Games.
Javierís company, Sports Marketing Monterrey, currently holds the exclusive rights of Mexican Elite Soccer Teams for exhibition games in U.S. licensing, TV rights, marketing, and other services. The company currently promotes soccer games to connect brands and professional teams to the Hispanic Market in the U.S. Annually, 250,000 people are reached on-site and millions of people are reached by the live broadcast in the United Stated and in more than 21 countries via ESPN.
His experience goes from creating new marketing properties, negotiating global TV rights, promoting international soccer games, representation of athletes, and multicultural consulting to Fortune 500 companies and major Pro-Teams.
Outside of work, Javier enjoys playing guitar, traveling, exercising, and attending sporting events.
